We start with high quality Lampung Peppercorns, which are cultivated in Indonesia. You'll see on our label that we refer to our pepper as "No Sneeze". Since we start with peppercorns that have a higher oil content, when we grind it, it retains the oils, and.... you won't sneeze! Sneezing isn't an automatic reaction to pepper - it happens when the pepper has no moisture and becomes like a dust. And because our pepper has oil to retain moisture, it retains its amazing sweet aroma and flavor.
We grind our pepper continuously so that it is fresh from our Shop to your kitchen. We grind the peppercorns into 5 grind sizes (listed from finest grind to coarsest grind):
Fine - Our finest grind. Used in some sauces.
Restaurant, also know as "30" grind - still fairly fine grind, used in pepper shakers, similar to what you would find in a restaurant.
Preferred - A medium grind, preferred by many. Our most popular grind.
Cafe - Slightly coarser, also preferred by many. Almost as popular as our Preferred
Butcher - Often used on steaks when grilling, and in sausage seasonings.
If you prefer to grind your own pepper, simply start with our Black Peppercorns.
We also carry White Peppercorns, Pink Peppercorns, Green Peppercorns, and a 4-Peppercorn Mix, which includes each of these. (Black, White, Pink and Green)
