Valentine's Day is coming up and we have a great idea. We took a bottle of Ancho Pepper and a bottle of Chipotle Pepper, put them into a little red bag and labeled it "Hot For You!" Regularly $12.50 but through Valentine's Day $10. What better way to let someone special know how you feel! (And that you're going to cook them a fantastic dinner!!) Mention this post and buy any 1 spice or seasoning and get a second 1 of equal or lesser value free - this week only. |

Here's this week's special: Buy any 2 seasonings/spices and get a Volcanic Dust for half price. For those of you who haven't tried it yet - well, if you like heat and great flavor - this is for you! As many of you know, we like to mix it with some maple syrup and put it on our wings or ribs. Try adding it to your ketchup and use on your fries. Add it to your chili to heat it up! Use it in your Buffalo chicken wing dip. (Remember to mention this post to get the deal) |

We have 3 to choose from - Cool Chili Seasoning, Med-Hot Chili Seasoning and Ground Chili Peppers. What's better than a pot of chili for a cold winter night? (Alright... it will be cold soon enough!) And it's time to start thinking about your menu for a Superbowl Party - we've got all sorts of great ideas - starting with a great pot of chili! |

We have had a great time at the Public Market this past year. We have
enjoyed meeting and talking with all of you. As is the case each year,
we will hibernate for the months of Jan, Feb and March, returning to the
Public Market in early April.Take this opportunity to visit us in Gates
at our Shop - 2322 Lyell Ave, right across from Wegmans. We have all
the spices, seasonings, peppers and sausage mixes that you've come to
love.
But for the next 4 weeks - we're still at the Market and
can't wait to help you pick out gifts for all you family and friends.
Gift boxes, gift bags, and more. Perfect for teacher gifts, stocking
stuffers, co-worker gifts or any other gift-giving you can think of.
As always - if you can't make it to the shop, we are only a phone call or email away and can ship almost anyplace.
We hope you find time to enjoy this holiday season with family and friends, Tom, Vicki, Vince, Paul, Jeff and Mark |

Join us in congratulating our friends at Good Smoke BBQ in placing 1st Place Overall in the New England BBQ Society, out of over 200 teams! Amazing! They are proud users of Stuart’s Spices, and we know that the amazing freshness and high quality of our spices contributed to their win!
For those of you who don’t know the world of competitive BBQ, Good Smoke and a number of other local teams travel and compete almost every weekend during the summer. To see this type of event first hand, attend Roc City Rib Fest next Memorial Day. Watch the competitors cook and enjoy the good eats and music. |

As you know, our website just launched a few weeks ago. We've been busy adding lots of info each week, especially descriptions of our seasoning blends, as well as info about herbs, spices, peppers and sausage mixes. One thing we could really use help with is our recipe page. We know that our customers are great cooks! So here's what we'd like to do. Each week this month we'll ask for a Thanksgiving Day recipe using Stuart's Spices or seasonings. Email the recipes to Sales@stuartsspices.com or bring them into the Shop on Lyell by Friday. The first 4 we select each week will be added to our website AND will receive a $5 gift certificate.
To kick this off, we'll start with "starters" - Bring or email us your favorite Thanksgiving Day appetizer or munchie recipe by this Friday. (using our spices or seasonings, of course!)
Next week - your favorite Thanksgiving Day potato or veggie recipe |

As many of you know from talking with us at the Public Market, we've been updating (well, actually, re-creating) the entire website for the past several months. We've been learning that owning our own business means juggling many, many balls in the air. As such, certain projects, like the website, took longer than we originally planned. Thanks to tremendous help from our son Mike, not only do we have a website, but we've even learned to edit and manage the site! (And thanks to our daughter-in-law Michelle for all her supportive feedback, and for reminding Mike to be patient with us!)
It is truly a work in progress, though. We decided that if we put it on the web, we'd be forced to look at it a little more often and continue to update it. Over the next few weeks you will see more and more descriptions of seasonings added, along with recipes. As always, we welcome your comments. And don't forget to check us out and "Like" us on Facebook! |
